Simon Thornton joined Landmark in 1999 from BC Partners, a leading European buy-out group, where he was a partner responsible for investor relations in Europe and the Middle East.

Prior to joining BC Partners in 1994 he spent eight years with private equity information businesses Venture Economics and Initiative Europe; he was a co-founder of the latter firm.

Simon holds an MA in economics from Cambridge University. He has been a member of the European Venture Capital and Private Equity Association’s (EVCA) Professional Standards Committee since 1994 and chaired the EVCA Governing Principles Task Force. Simon is based in London.
