Mr. Pathak is a managing director of Warburg Pincus LLC. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Management Group and is head of the firm’s European operations based in London. An instrumental member of the team which established the firm’s presence in Asia, Mr. Pathak currently is responsible for the firm’s investment activities in Europe and India. Warburg Pincus, headquartered in New York, is one of the largest private equity firms in the world and has been a dominant player in the business since 1971. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus in 1994, Mr. Pathak was with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group).

Mr. Pathak holds a B.A. and M.A. from Delhi University, India and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves on the board of Bharti Tele-Ventures in India. He is a Charter Member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), UK. In addition, he is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Center for the Advanced Study of India at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts and Sciences.
